Dear PandwaRF Users,
Efficient power management is essential to get the most out of your PandwaRF device. In this guide, we’ll show you how to optimize power settings and understand the charging process to ensure your device operates efficiently.
Auto Power Off
To help conserve battery life, the auto power-off feature ensures your device turns off after a period of inactivity. This feature is not enabled by default, so follow these steps to set it up:
1. Go to Information in the menu
2. Click on Set in Auto power off
3. Set the delay in minutes and Enable auto power off
Your device will automatically turn off if it remains inactive for the duration you have indicated. Selecting DISABLE will disable the auto power mode, and your device will stay on unless you power it off manually.
PandwaRF Shutdown
In case you need to shut down PandwaRF completely, there are two methods:
Turn It Off via Button 1
1. Disconnect the device in the Search tab.
2. Open the enclosure (for Version 3).
3. Press button 1 for 2 seconds.
Turn It Off via the App
- When connected to your PandwaRF, go to the Information tab and click on Power Off.
PandwaRF will shut down completely and stop advertising. No LED will be turned on, and your smartphone will not be able to discover or connect to your PandwaRF. Pressing any of the five buttons or providing USB power will wake up the PandwaRF.
Battery Charging
Charging the Device
PandwaRF has an integrated Battery Gas Gauge, allowing precise measurement of the remaining battery capacity. However, the battery percentage indicated at the first charge might be inaccurate. For precise measurement:
- Fully charge PandwaRF at least once. This will initialize its Coulomb Counter to 100%.
- Once unplugged, it will start monitoring its own consumption.
If the Device is Turned On
- When charging, PandwaRF’s Orange LED blinks once per second.
- When fully charged, PandwaRF’s Orange LED remains ON.
If the Device is Turned Off, no LED will be turned on, but the device will still charge if plugged in.
PandwaRF Low Power Mode
When not plugged into USB and not connected via BLE:
- PandwaRF enters low power mode and only advertises to allow BLE connection.
- In this mode, the Blue LED blinks every 5 seconds.
By following these steps and understanding these features, you can ensure your PandwaRF remains efficient. Happy exploring!
