We just uploaded a demo video showing PandwaRF Marauder‘s main features, autonomous capture and replay of RF data.
Marauder has been developed for activities requiring a discreet capture of RF data, typically keypress of keyfobs (alarms, cars, gate openers…) in the Sub-1GHz ISM bands (315/433/868/915 MHz).
The Marauder can be set up to automatically listen and record all RF data on pre-configured frequencies. Captured data is automatically demodulated and saved internally in the Marauder internal memory. RF data can be replayed when needed using the dedicated Android application, or extracted for analysis.
For the demo video we used:
- A PandwaRF Marauder Standard
- The Marauder Android application
- A 433 MHz home alarm and its keyfob
We then followed this scenario:
- From the Marauder Android application, start the Marauder RF capture
- Disconnect the app from PandwaRF Marauder
- PandwaRF Marauder is now scanning the predefined RF frequency and will record RF data autonomously
- Press the Arm button (5x times) on the home alarm remote. The Marauder records the RF transmission of the Arm command
- Reconnect to the Marauder to see the data that has been captured autonomously
- Fetch the captured RF data from Marauder to the Android App
- Replay the captured Arm command of the remote from the Marauder application
- The home alarm interprets the replayed Arm command as a genuine command
All the 5 captures performed while the Marauder was disconnected from the smartphone were fetched into the Android app once connected again. We were then able to replay any of them using the application.
PandwaRF Marauder is currently available in two variants, Basic and Standard. Depending on the configuration, it supports 1-2 frequencies and it has a memory size of 256-512 RF captures.
Each RF capture is about 1s of data, depending on the sampling rate.
PandwaRF Marauder is available for pre-order until July 31 at a lower price.
